Trading since 1994, Innovative Communications Limited is a Radio Frequency Circuit Design Specialist based in Basingstoke.
Our core business is the provision of Circuit Design expertise utilising 20 years experience in RF circuit design for OEMs such as GEC Marconi, Multitone, Wood and Douglas, and Orbitel, and Silicon Vendors' subsidiaries such as Hitachi Micro Systems Europe (now part of Renesas), Sony SDE and Panasonic SDE .
Our company has experience with mainly low-power (up to 10W) battery-powered surface mounted products up to 2.5GHz, Chip-on-board products, and some LSI design and development experience up to 4GHz. Design for Mass Production has been our main focus, but some work has been undertaken for lower production volume customers such as Raven Research Ltd.
We have experience of the complete design cycle from feasibility through prototype design, construction and evaluation, through Type Approvals, to introducing a product into production, and training production test engineers to test an RF product.
We are also enhancing our IP and design capability by developing a number of PIC-based development boards with Bluetooth, SD card interface, and GPS module interfaces, for example. We intend to market these designs to the hobbyist and educational markets, but they also serve as demonstrations of our capabilities.
