There are many situations in which it may be more useful for our
clients to hire our services without giving us daily access to their
site, equipment and personnel. This is also advantageous to us, as it
saves wasted time "on the road" for our valuable resource, and so the
hourly charging rates to our clients for this service is likely to
reflect a 5 to 10% discount. Modern Telecommunications mean that a job
can be completed effectively without having the continuous office
overheads of providing office space or continuous access to your site.
Also projects can be undertaken over large geographical distances. If specialist equipment is needed to accomplish a project it may be necessary for access to laboratory facilities on your site at certain phases of a project, unless you are able to fund the hire of that specialist equipment to our site, or to loan that equipment to us for that project phase. However, the capabilities of our own laboratory facilities are constantly being improved over time. We are able to quote fixed price for well-defined work packages, which helps our customers to control their costs. Key Benefits
CapabilitiesWe use PADS PowerLogic schematic capture and PADS PowerPCB PCB layout tools to generate the manufacturing documentation to design Radio Frequency circuits. We are able to produce and populate prototype Printed Circuit Boards independently of your facilities, and we have a basic laboratory facility in Basingstoke, which will be developed over time to increase in its sophistication and power. At the moment the facilities include Spectrum Analysis to 26.5GHz, and Network Analysis to 3 GHz, allowing the optimisation of prototype circuit matching and filtering characteristics, and the optimisation of amplifier and transmitter chains. We also have a wideband noise source (HP346B) for noise figure measurements, and a Rohde & Schwarz CMTA 94 for radio transceivers up to 1GHz. We have invested in a PDR IR-X210 Infra-Red reflow manual work station in order to improve the quality of solder joints on our prototypes, and to be able to use more modern packages such as BGA and micro-BGA in our prototypes.
